Description & Services
Description (Service) Cadet training - Youth/teenager/adolescent/young adult training in paramilitary environment for boys and girls 12 - 19 years old. Must speak English and be in good health. Sponsored by Department of National Defence and Royal Canadian Legion. Training in field craft, map using, first aid, leadership, fitness and citizenship. Camping and similar excursions take place once a month for the weekend. Parental support of child's involvement in program is recommended. The program is good for building a positive self-image and confidence. Discipline and responsibility for one's own actions is stressed. Respect for seniors and the law is encouraged.
