Description & Services
Description (Service) In partnership with The County of Lambton, this program offers low-cost, basic home maintenance and repairs to all homeowners in Sarnia/Lambton. Preference - and a separate pricing stream - are offered to low income homeowners who may be at risk of housing instability or even homelessness if repairs are not completed.  
Habitat Handyman's services are delivered by professional staff assisted by a volunteer team. 
Handyman services offered include but are not limited to: in/exterior general carpentry; cabinet removal & installation; kitchen/bathroom repair & renovation; vinyl siding repair/removal & installation; drywall installation & repair; in/exterior painting; installation of flooring (laminate & ceramic); installation of insulation; and deck/porch repair & maintenance. The Handyman will receive requests for services not listed above but reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to accept a home improvement project. The Handyman does not offer: electrical, plumbing, HVAC or roofing services.

Eligibility * Habitat offers low cost home improvement services for all homeowners in Sarnia/Lambton 
* Pricing is available for both mainstream and low income families  
* In order to qualify for low income pricing, the applicant must provide proof of income which will be referenced against High Needs Household Income Limits (or HILS tables) published by Service Ontario 
* Habitat is also currently accepting applications for Handyman volunteers wishing to work with our Habitat Handyman program. Please visit our website at www.habitatsarnia.org and click on "Volunteer" to apply.

* You can apply on-line or you can download and print a hard copy of the application. Or you can collect an application from our offices located in the ReStore at 1787 London Line in Sarnia (at Blackwell Sideroad) 
* Once your application is received, you will be contacted for an appointment 
* Kindly note that this is a program that is in high demand. We have two handymen on staff and they do their best to accommodate applications in a first-in, first-served approach
