Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Volunteer visitors provide emotional and practical support to those with a life-threatening or terminal illness * volunteers are carefully screened and specially trained * hospice service provides companionship through home visits * respite care, at home to give caregivers a break and emotional support for all loved ones * support for coping with change and loss * ongoing bereavement support after the death of a loved one * individual and group grief support * caregiver support information available upon demand

Caring Circle
An open bereavement support group for adults facilitated by specially trained, caring and understanding volunteers.

Journey Through Grief A closed eight week bereavement group for adults facilitated by specially trained, caring and understanding volunteers Kids’ Circle and Parents’ Circle (Offered in Ingersoll & Woodstock)
Aimed at supporting grieving children who have experienced the death of a loved one * eight week program providing group support to children. Parents' Circle is offered in tandem to provide support to parents/caregivers of children attending Kids' Circle.
Hours Office Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Support Care Services: Flexible per client requirements

Runs in the fall and early spring (please inquire for dates/times) * Program offered at Sakura House – 715180 Oxford County Rd 4, RR5, Woodstock ON and St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church – 56 Thames St N, Ingersoll ON

Caring Circle
Ingersoll (Ingersoll Public Library - 130 Oxford St, Ingersoll ON): 3rd Tue of each month 6:30 pm-8 pm

Tillsonburg (VON Oxford – 24 Brock St W, Tillsonburg ON): Second Wed of each month 6:30 pm-8 pm

Woodstock (Sakura House – 715180 Oxford County Rd 4, RR5, Woodstock ON): First Wed of the month 6:30 pm-8:00 pm and third Thu of month 10:00 am-11:30 am Journey Through Grief Please contact program coordinator for times and location

Eligibility Ages: 5 year(s) and up 
Referrals accepted from individuals and family members, health and social agencies, physicians, nurses, clergy and others 
Registration required for all bereavement programs with hospice and bereavement coordinator
Application Call for more information. Registration is required prior to service
Languages English ; **COVID-19 UPDATE*** Hospice and bereavement support is being provided by telephone or teleconference until further notice
Fees None - Service costs covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP)
