Affordable Home Ownership Program
The program provides financial assistance to qualified low-to-moderate income households. Funding is limited and is available on a first come, first served basis, in the form of a 20-year interest-free loan registered on title and up to 5% of the purchase price of an eligible home (current maximum purchase price is $264,619). This program is made possible through the Investment in Affordable Housing (IAH) Program, which is funded by the federal and provincial governments.

Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up At least one member of a household must be 16 years and older * each member of a household must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or a refugee claimant

Affordable Home Ownership Program
Total household income before deductions is less than $63,000 a year * currently renting (rental receipt must be provided) * no rental arrears are owed, housing charges or damages to any other social housing program * total household assets are below $20,000 * no household member owns a property or has interest in a property * you are able to pay all closing costs and home inspection fee (if resale home) * you qualify for a mortgage

Affordable Home Ownership Program
If you are eligible to apply for the Affordable Home Ownership Program, you can print an application from our website at www.oxfordcounty.ca/humanservices. You can also call the County’s Human Services Department at 519-539-9800 ext. 3302 and ask us to fax or mail you an application package.* completed applications can be dropped off, emailed, faxed or mailed to Jamie Stephens, Manager of Housing Development, Oxford County - Human Services, 21 Reeve Street, PO Box 1614, Woodstock, Ontario. N4S 7Y3.

Households must apply to participate in the program. As funds become available, eligible households will be contacted by mail and provided with a Conditional Letter of Commitment.
