Description and Service Details
Description (Service) *- orientation programs, language and skills training to help facilitate employment, and programs to welcome newcomers to the community  
 
Orientation Services 
Provides settlement assistance to New Canadians in need of housing, translation, employment, immigration services and more  
* Referrals to language training, employment services and other community services  
* information workshops and other topics provided regularly  
* provide needs and eligibility assessments 
* pre- and post-arrival information and referral 
* referral to job search and employment counseling 
* assistance to establish social and professional networks to promote community engagement 
* assistance to access a range of settlement services 
 
Welcoming Communities  
Creating community connections for New Canadians through workshops, mentoring, and social/recreational activities 
Cultural competency training for employers and other interested groups, and Citizenship Training Classes. 
 
Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) 
Provides language training at no cost to eligible adult learners 
*both full and part time classes available 
*tutoring services available 
*child care and transportation available if eligible 
*provides language certificate to qualified individuals eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship
Hours * Settlement Services, Mon-Fri, 8:30 am-4:30 pm * Tue, 8:30 am-8 pm  
* English Language Classes, Mon-Fri, 9 am-4 pm * Tue-Thu, 6 pm-8 pm

Eligibility Landed Immigrant, Permanent Resident, Canadian Citizens Born Outside of Canada, Refugee Claimants, Convention Refugee or Ministers Permit status
