Description (Service) Individuals can register to put their phone number on the National Do Not Call list * may take up to 31 days to begin noticing a reduction in calls * allows consumers to reduce the number of unsolicited telemarketing calls received on personal telephone numbers including landline, wireless, fax, or VoIP * CRTC investigates complaints * registration is permanent 
National Do Not Call List excludes: 
* Canadian registered charities 
* political parties, riding associations and candidates 
* persons or entities collecting information for a survey 
* newspapers of general circulation, for the purpose of soliciting subscriptions 
* Any organizations where a business relationship already exist
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm * online Mon-Sun 24 hours
Eligibility Service subscribers or those who have the authority to act on behalf of service subscriber * can register landline, wireless, fax, or VoIP * business numbers cannot be registered on the National Do Not Call List, including personal telephone lines used for business purposes
Application Register online or by telephone * to register by phone: call from the phone number you want to register * to register by fax: send a fax from the fax machine you want to register (write the number and "Please Register ") * call the National DNCL Service Line for the number to be removed
